Commercial Property Management

I am a Chartered Surveyor and the first 10 years of my career were spent exclusively letting and managing commercial property. For the last 10 years I have continued to provide consultancy alongside my farming business. I advise both landlords and tenants on all aspects of commercial leasing and professional issues such as disputes over rights of access. In the current economic climate it is essential that both landlords and tenants co-operate in an efficient way so that both parties can overcome the obstacles we face as we recover from impacts that Covid-19 has had on all of our businesses.

Development/Diversification Advice

I have a wide range of experience in advising on various developments, from negotiating option agreements with developers on greenfield sites to conversion of agricultural buildings for residential/commercial/equestrian use etc.

Drone Surveys

Drone imagery is an invaluable tool within agriculture and real estate. From high definition single images for marketing purposes through to multiple images stitched together to provide up to date google earth type images with circa 15x detail, these images are invaluable in development projects and in particular managing and implementing environmental schemes. Whilst full details of the new ELMS schemes are not known we do now the higher tiers will be competitive. Using drone maps are an excellent way of proving a concept and also demonstrating its effectiveness over the life of the scheme.

Spray Store Management

In addition to being a requirement of COSHH, cross compliance and Quality insurance schemes a safe, compliant, well organised spray store can save costs, ensuring unused spray is used the following season and avoiding stocks of withdrawn chemicals.

I can visit your spray store, create an inventory of all chemical to share with your agronomist, identify any banned/expired chemicals and make recommendations of actions needed (e.g bunding) which can normally be completed at low cost using on farm labour.
